Logan University Adds Two Certificate Designations for Students in Nutrition and Human Performance

Logan University’s College of Health Science graduates of the Nutrition and Human Performance Program are now qualified to sit for exams to become a Certified Clinical Nutritionist (CCN) through the Clinical Nutrition Certification Board (CNCB), as well as a Certified Sports Nutritionist (CISSN) through the International Society of Sports Nutrition.

2013 Graduate Dr. Mark Elam Wins Graduate Package at Parker Seminars Vegas

Dr. Mark Elam, a 2013 Logan University graduate, won the Graduate Package at the Parker Seminars held in Las Vegas between January 9th and 11th.

Dr. Elam was selected from a drawing of thousands of recent chiropractic graduates.

Alumnus Robert Lynch Appointed to Board of Licensure

Logan University alumnus Robert P. Lynch, DC, was recently appointed to the Board of Licensure for Maine.

Dr. Cheryl Hawk Co-Presents Wellness in Clinical Practice Certification Program

The National Wellness Institute’s Wellness in Clinical Practice (WCP) Certification Program is a 40-hour course and certification program. The course is online and can be completed from any location; participants have 120 days from the date their registration confirmation is sent to complete the course.

Logan Alumnus Featured on St. Louis Rams Website

As part of being the Official Chiropractic College of the St. Louis Rams, Logan sponsors the Training Day video series for the St. Louis Rams.

InTouch September 2013

In Touch is a bibliography of citations of interest that is produced four times a year by the Logan University Library. This bibliography contains the reference for 40-60 journal articles published recently in various health related journals. Some of the journals frequently referenced include: Spine, JMPT, Journal of Musculoskeletal Medicine, American Journal of Orthopedics, Neurology, Radiology, Lancet, Nutritional Perspectives, and Clinical Biomechanics.

Alumni Visit Logan on September 11, 2013

Two alumni, Dr. Jeffrey H. Citrin (1977) and Dr. Jeffrey D. Rutherford (1998), visited Logan on September 11, 2013, with their staff and toured Logan's campus.

Logan Alumni Aids Team USA at the 19th World Maccabiah Games

Logan alumni Dr. Brian Laiderman of Optimal Performance Center (OPC) in Chesterfield aided Team USA in Israel to support at the 19th World Maccabiah Games.

What's Old is New Again

The former Postgraduate House is new again … and repurposed.

The newly named Alumni & Friends House serves as Logan’s “home” for both Postgraduate and Institutional Advancement.

Cheryl Hawk Named Dean of Research

Logan University has announced the appointment of  Cheryl Hawk, DC, PhD, CHES, FICC, as dean of research, effective the beginning of the Fall 2013 Trimester. Rodger Tepe, PhD, who has served as dean of research and development since June 2005, will return to the classroom where his outstanding teaching skills will be fully utilized.

Drs. Alicia and Terry Yochum Lecture Together

Drs. Alicia and Terry Yochum will lecture together for the first time in a two-day "MRI of the Spine" series. Dr. Alicia Yochum is a December 2012 graduate of Logan.

Dr. Richard Bruns Recognized by Maine Chiropractic Association

Dr. Richard Bruns, a 1980 graduate from Logan and a member of the Board of Trustees, has been named Chiropractor of the Year by the Maine Chiropractic Association. Dr. Bruns is also the American Chiropractic Association's Governor of District 1.

Alumni Faculty Dr. Patrick Montgomery Leads Chiropractic Initiatives

Logan faculty Dr. Patrick Montgomery attended the 33rd Annual Conference of the Association for the History of Chiropractic (AHC) in Greeley, Colo., June 21-23, at the headquarters of the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (NBCE).
